A companion that follows you through everyday life

A digital voice can answer questions. A personal companion should understand the context in which those questions arise. Vompanion explores this idea by combining a smartphone or browser app with an optional device for the home.

One conversation, two devices

On the move, your phone might handle the conversation; at home, the dedicated device could take over. Images and settings would remain available in the app. A central requirement is that only one device listens and speaks at a time, avoiding duplicate responses.

A voice with personality

The concept also considers the choice of voices and the individual character of a companion. These are design goals, not promises of a finished product. The interesting question is how technology can feel consistent across different moments in life.
